Butch in 2023

SETSI's officers 2022-23
A lot has happened since this blog's last entry... boy have a lot happened.

For starters, I became President for SETSI and Friends Toastmasters for the TM year of July 2021 - June 2022. How'd things go? Let's just day I was able to steer the club to the highest recognition ever, which is the President's Distinguished Club. Meeting 9 out of 10 points. Not perfect... but great enough to reach said recognition. So I was able to represent the club well. I'm still the club's VP for Membership, but I honestly feel that the other officers are not pulling their weight to make sure the club stays strong. I may be wrong, of course... but I see them busy with other organizations and activities. It seems only now that they are finally (hopefully) pulling their weight. Personally, I don't feel I'm being optimized - at least when compared to another club I'm with, namely the Hall of Learners Advanced Toastmasters club.

SETSI's latest Hallowin meeting
For 2022-2023, my focus is on the Hall of Learners Advanced Toastmasters club. Though I started as it;s Vice President for Public Relations - and focused on how to make the club known and recognized, I later got pulled up to it's VP for Education. So now I need to focus on the club's education goals.

HOLA's CARE team
How am I dong in this new leadership endeavor? I'm gladly supporting the vision and ideas of the club's President; Joyce Delovieres, and if I'm to be honest, I find the efforts I do in HOLA are more appreciated. M execute activities and I see the camaraderie, and the eagerness of the members ti help each other out,

I have two major programs running with the Hall of Learners Advanced club (a.k.a. HOLA TMC).
These programs are the C.A.R.E. teams - a group of mentors to help focus on the support of the club's membership - I don't know how it happened, but I became the group's mentor 😀 - so I'm a mentor of mentors in this regard. We've also been recognized as one of the District's clubs who've implemented the CARE program (which has been a District adopted program).

Then there's the Social Media (SocMed) team focused on letting the District know about the existence of HOLA. I'd like to think that because of this, I started the HOLA Facebook page, as well a it's Instagram counterpart.
Back in Diamond TMC

These are ongoing programs, and I hope to be successful with the program of the VPE, with the help of C.A.R.E., and SocMed to put HOLA on the District's map. After all. we'd like to convince other clubs that our status as an Advanced club is not just hubris. At times, both programs help each other out. I will dedicate separate blog articles for these.

Lastly, I've revived my membership in Diamond Toastmasters club. My original home club. Suffice it to say, on the Leadership side - at least, with Toastmasters. I'm re-cultivating my presence.
