Leader's Window - after a long time of not conducting it...
Just like riding a bike and welcoming a long time no see friend.
These pictures represent Day 2 of the training. I did not strive to take quality pictures - just take some pictures. I know if I were serious, I would practice all the time... believe me, I did. But I did not strive to show these pictures here, as they did not have anything to do with said training.
This conduct was jointly facilitated by Mon and me. As usual, in the first day, the participants took a Leadership assessment test - and on the second day, we asked them to check their answers and helped them interpret their results.
While waiting for my turn to do the facilitating, I would read an ebook freely given by Seth Godin. Naturally, I was doing this with my iPad.
Part of the latter lessons in the afternoon was to do Performance Contracting (and some Coaching on the side), so this is what I asked the participants to do. This was to practice them with doing PC-type meetings.
Coaching scenarios helped them realize their potentials and areas for growth - in this triad exercise, an observer will take down notes, so they could give their feedback to the 'coaches' in this role play activity.
Our participants were eager to learn and very game to participate, as these pictures show. Considering that a lot of them were currently in Bench, this would be a bit of a new experience for them... none the less, they still tried adopting the lessons and practicing them via said role plays or game-related activities.
Feedback giving need not be serious all the time, and we Filipinos can really inject humor to lighten an otherwise heavy message. It might not be advisable in real life... but in a training like this, the fun aspect makes for better learning.
